Some wolves bare their fangs. Others mask their true natures…
A year has passed since Lily Markart’s traumatic introduction to the Dreambetween. Despite having come to grips with her formidable dreaming power, she finds herself isolated and emotionally fragile, both in the Dreambetween and in the waking world. Her one chance at friendship, and perhaps something more, is Simon, a daring dreamer who fascinates and frightens her in equal measure. But Lily is not the only one with her eye on Simon. Other dreamers, both young and ancient, have plans for him, and those plans will force Lily to walk a path rife with vengeance, isolation, and betrayal, a path with the potential to tear the Dreambetween apart.
Exile Ballad is the second part of The Dreambetween Symphony, a historical fantasy that ranges across three thousand years, following the lives, loves, fears, and fates of those who share the blessing, and the curse, that is the Dreambetween.

A second favorite. MS Hund gives some background on how the DreamBetween is constructed and how different groups can "rule" while there. I think I enjoyed the story of Jessika the most in this amazing sequel to The Song of the Severed Lord. She is a Holocaust refugee who has found her escape into the DreamBetween to be both salvation and torture.Meanwhile, Lily makes an appearance in this story as well, and her teen angst grows ever stronger. I'm certainly looking forward to the final book to this operetta style trilogy.

Exile Ballad The Dreambetween Symphony Book 2 eBook MS Hund Reviews
Fantastic second novel in the trilogy! M.S. Hund did it again in painting a beautiful world within the Dreambetween. The story takes us between worlds, and through time, with leaps and bounds of spellbinding excitement and suspense. Looking forward the the next book!
Fantastic. A well written, captivating tale.
Kept my interest throughout the whole book and I am looking forward to the last book of this series to see where Lily ends up if you enjoy witches, werewolves and fantasy, this is a good read for you.
The Exile Ballad was even better than the Song of the Severed Lord. We get more background information about the history of the Dreambetween and those who have been able to enter it. I was particularly interested in the backstories of the Mistress of the Hunt and of Jessika. Lily and her colleagues are trying to repair the damaged realm, and it is hard to tell who is a friend and who is foe. What will ultimately be the fate of the Dreambetween and those who people it? I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
